All lead teachers employed at OKCM are certified through AMS (American Montessori Society), and they have been teaching together for 10+ years. OKCM prides itself on having over 90 years of combined experience among its teachers. Assistant teachers are required to have a minimum of a four-year degree, preferably in early childhood education, and a sincere commitment to children and their academic success. The school has the honor of working with Oklahoma City University’s Montessori teacher training program. Teacher training involves thirty graduate hours of Montessori training and one year of internship with certified Montessori teachers in an AMS member school. All teachers at OKC Montessori received their Master's in Montessori Education from Oklahoma City University.
